Options for Selling Overstocks |
|
|
|
|
Learn about the 3 Choices
Everyone has excess and overstock inventory. To
sell this excess stock, distributors usually try a
number of tactics before looking beyond their typical
customers for a solution.
First, you tell your salesforce to move the items,
perhaps offering an increased commission or an
additional discount to the customer who purchases
the goods.
Perhaps your competitors know of an end user for
these products. So you run a garage sale and email
or fax the list out to other distributors within your
region.
Eventually, you determine that the items can't be
sold within your local geography. The study of
available options begin. On the list are an Inventory
Broker, Ebay and Pricingnet. Each method has
certain advantages and each method has certain
disadvantages.
